The Professional Housing Provider (PHP) Program is a nationally recognized educational program designed to elevate the professionalism, knowledge, and credibility of real estate investors throughout the Metro East and Greater St. Louis area.

What Is the NaPHP Designation?

The National Professional Housing Provider (NaPHP) designation is a national, education-based certification program sponsored and overseen by the National Real Estate Investors Association (National REIA).

This designation recognizes individuals who have achieved a high level of knowledge and professionalism in real estate investing and property management.

Only those who complete the required education are permitted to represent themselves as a National Professional Housing Provider, making this a meaningful and respected credential within the industry.

The PHP Program includes a structured educational curriculum totaling 60 hours of formal training:

  • 43 hours of core courses
  • 17 hours of elective topics

Enrollment Options

Members can complete the PHP program in a way that fits their schedule:

Full-Time Enrollment

Attend PHP-approved courses on a structured, consistent schedule designed for steady progress toward certification.

Part-Time Enrollment

Progress toward certification by attending approved Monday evening programs during regularly scheduled MEREIA meetings.

This flexible structure allows members to advance at their own pace while continuing to build their real estate business.

Program Investment

To participate in the PHP Program, a MEREIA membership is required at $150 per year. At graduation, there is a $100 graduation fee that includes a framed certificate, a lapel pin, and a recognition dinner for the graduate and a guest. 

This investment provides both educational value and long-term professional benefits.

4. Begin Approved Training

Participate in PHP-approved courses and sessions through MEREIA

5. Complete Required Hours

Fulfill the 60-hour education requirement through approved coursework and training.

6. Earn Your Certification

Successfully complete the program and receive your NaPHP designation.
